JW Marriott Marco Island Resort & Spa, Lobby Lounge

The recently redesigned the Marriott Marco Island Lobby Lounge: The property’s dramatic reinvention, inspired by the magnificent mangroves found throughout South Florida, takes on a bold new look. The space entices lobby guests with an 11 foot, 360 degree aquarium column of mesmerizing Moon jellyfish. The space incorporates vast, free formed organic ribs crafted of exquisite cherry wood reflected on a wall of boundary-blurring mirror.

Backlit honey onyx wraps the length of the bar which is accompanied by a snow-covered, chilled drink rail which keeps cocktails cooled to perfection. The floor-to-ceiling windows face the property’s pool deck, as a foreground to Marco Island’s expansive beach on the Gulf of Mexico. The oversized windows are lined with opulent seating groups and accented by intimate, draped cocktail banquette cubbies. The addition of a sushi bar, appointed with rare leather panels and a fully customized Bisazza glass tile mosaic mural, offers yet another signature focal feature to the lounge. Groups can lounge on a landscape of flexible seating, eat at a grouping of dining height four-tops, or simply mingle at the four-inch thick exotic marble communal tables bordering the bar.
