THE FRAYE, CURIO COLLECTION BY HILTON
They come - to a city that delivers, yet promises nothing.
Her travels through Tennessee led her here. She assembled along the way – memories, artifacts, smells and textures. Cast iron and velvet, raw hide and bronze, gunmetal black with a light coat of oil. She took from the barn, she took from the tavern, from improvised shelter and grateful mansion. She took the notes from the drunken banjo and painted them on the wall. She paid homage to the antlered beast she once encountered. The assemblage is her hope, her dream of an unapologetic journey.
